DID YOU KNOW?

  • Public health officials attribute the quality of life we have today to three things: better pharmaceuticals and vaccines, better sanitation and better pest control.
  • Pests destroy homes and buildings and their contents; termites alone cause over $5 billion in damage annually.
  • Pests can transmit disease-causing organisms including West Nile Virus, Lyme Disease, malaria, plague, Rocky Mountain spotted fever, hantavirus, and encephalitis.
  • Insect stings force half-a-million people to the emergency room every year.
  • Rodents consume or contaminate about 20 percent of the world’s food supply. They carry fleas and ticks that potentially carry diseases. Rodents have also been implicated in fires across the country by chewing wires and spilling flammables.

  • According to the American College of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology, more than two million Americans are allergic to stinging insects, more than 500,000 enter hospital emergency rooms every year suffering from insect stings, and between 40-150 people a year die as a result of these stings.
  • Without pest management practices, pests could destroy more than 50 percent of our food crops
  • In a recent consumer survey, 93 percent of people expressed concern over finding insects within their home. According to a survey cited by the Army Community Service, insects and bugs rank as the public’s third most common fear, behind public speaking and heights.

  • Innovations in pest management parallel an increase in life expectancy. A child born in 1900 had a life expectancy of just 49 years while a child born in 2010 had a life expectancy of 78 years.
  • In a consumer survey, renters and homeowners were asked about the problems they’ve had with their homes or apartments. The number one problem they cited was insects. In fact, nearly half (45 percent) of the complaints dealt with insects or rodents in the home.

1. Termite Treatment TERMITES live in colonies underground they actually cannot live above ground for very long. In Spring, swarmers are pushed out to form a new colony. You may see them flying around and any aerosol insecticide will kill them until you can call in a professional to do a complete job.
Termite colonies have several layers to them and each termite has their own role within the colony. Worker termites are the actual wood destroyers — but they only do this to make tunnels for the rest of the colony to travel through.
Termites cause billions of dollars in damage each year. They feed primarily on wood, but have also been known to work their mischief on books, insulation and many other materials containing cellulose, their main food source. Termites seldom attack living trees, preferring to wait until they are dead or dying.
Termite treatment comprises of drilling holes in junction of floor and wall, soaking them with the sealing them. This makes a completely undetectable chemical barrier around your house and property. Termite treatment does not cause any inconvenience or threat to family’s health. Drilling is a common method of termite control. This method is very effective for house & building that was attacked or eaten by termite.

2. Bed Bugs  Treatment :
bed bus
The term usually refers to species that prefer to feed on human blood. Bed Bugs are not strictly nocturnal but are mainly active at night and are capable of feeding unnoticed on their host.
Bed Bugs are mostly found on mattress but can also be found on furniture and pictures throughout the home and/or hotel/motel. They can live for a year without feeding and they normally try to feed every five to ten days. They pierce the skin of its host with two hollow feeding tubes shaped like tongues.
They are brown in color and can be seen by the naked eyes. They cannot jump. A heavy infestation of bed bugs will almost always require chemical treatment, either with an over the counter pesticide spray or with the help of Pest Control professional.

3. Cockroaches & Beetles Treatment
American Cockroach
american
The American Cockroach, or “Bombay canary” as it is known to the English dockhands, is the largest of the house infesting cockroaches, being 1 1/2 inches long with fully developed reddish brown wings and light markings on the thorax.
This cockroach is commonly found in sewers and basements, particularly around pipes. This cockroach is also found to be a common inhabitant of sewage systems. Observations after heavy rain show that basements in numerous cities throughout the US have increased populations of American roaches.

Brown Banded Cockroach
mmm.jpg
The Brown Banded Cockroach is of African origin, and according to researchers was introduced from Cuba to Miami in the early 1900’s. This roach is now officially reported throughout the US.This species is gregarious and hides in cupboards, pantries or even other rooms of the house. Preferences are shown for high locations such as shelves in closets, behind pictures and picture moldings, and the like. Egg capsules may be deposited about the kitchen sink, desks, tables and other furniture, and even bedding.

German Cockroach
erman cock
The German Cockroach, also known as the “steam fly” in England is worldwide in distribution. It is the most prevalent species in and around homes, apartments, supermarkets, food processing plants and restaurants.
The German cockroach is about 5/8 inch in length, brown in color, with two dark longitudinal streaks on the pronotum (its back). The male is light brown and somewhat boat shaped. The female is slightly darker in color with a broader and rounded posterior.
This cockroach breeds throughout the year indoors, but favors a humid environment and an average temperature of approximately 70 degrees Fahrenheit.

Oriental Cockroach
Oriental Coc
The Oriental Cockroach (like other cockroach species) is often called a “water bug,” — possibly because cockroaches tend to inhabit damp places. It should be remembered, though, that a “water bug”
This species, which is less wary and more sluggish than others, is the most disliked of all cockroaches since it often travels through sewer pipes and lives on filth. It may enter the home in food packages and laundry, or merely come in under the door through air ducts or ventilators. Researchers have found that large populations of this cockroach are common in trash chutes and in wall and porch voids. The Oriental cockroach is most common in dark, damp basements, but is known to climb water pipes to the upper floors of apartment houses.
Mostly every person has to fight with Cockroach daily. Everyone hate this dirty insect very much and never want to live with it under the same roof. We can control them by taking some effective steps.

4. Mosquitoes Treatment

as you sit enjoying a warm Summer’s evening, your bliss is shattered by an annoying whine in your ear. You slap, but it’s too late—the little devil bit, and you’ll be scratching for days.
Mosquitoes are more than an annoyance. According to the Gates Foundation, the mosquito is the most dangerous animal in the world, sickening and killing millions of people across the globe every year. Mosquito-borne diseases include malaria, dengue fever, yellow fever, encephalitis and West Nile virus. Of these, few reach our shores, but it’s important to know which diseases are spread by mosquitoes in your area, and take measures to protect yourself and your family.
Knowing how mosquitoes breed is your first defense. They lay their eggs in stagnant (still) water and can reproduce several times during the warm months. Look around your property for places where water can collect—toys, flower-pot trays, old tires, and the like—and eliminate these. This is also a good opportunity to work with your neighbors to remove breeding spots from their yards. Chances are, they will be as eager to get rid of these pests as you are!

As diligent as we may be in policing our spaces for mosquito breeding grounds, some may blow in from the surrounding areas. In this case, pest control experts can help you with the appropriate solution for your situation
Female mosquitoes feed on plant nectar and blood. They need the protein to reproduce. Mosquitoes spread diseases such as West Nile Virus, Malaria and dengue fever. It’s the time of get rid from mosquitoes with the help of us.

5. Rodent Control Treatment
mmmmm
RATS are typically distinguished from mice by their size. Rats are various medium-sized, long tailed rodents with a typical lifespan of three years. If they can get their heads through, they can get their bodies through.MICE are a small mammal belonging to the order of rodents. Mice can at times be harmful by damaging and eating crops and causing damage to wires and spreading diseases.
Control Method:The use of carefully placed rodenticide in tamper-proof bait stations is the usual plan of attack, but in some delicate situations where children and pets are concerned, other forms of treatment are used.
Exclusion is the best way to keep RATS and MICE from your residence.

Mice
mmmmmmmm.jpg
The house mouse can produce 8-10 litters each year and each litter contains five to seven young mice. Within 21 days, the young are active outside the nest and within 42 days are sexually mature and ready to reproduce. This exceptionally short life cycle explains why seeing one mouse (or a sign of a mouse) suggests that several are hiding behind the scenes.Mice aren’t long distance travelers. They stay very close to their nest if food and water are present and, contrary to what you may have heard, they eat very little only about 1/10 of an ounce a day. Their preferred menu includes seeds, grains and generally any food materials they contact. When they do move about, it’s usually under the cover of night. You may notice signs of mice in your home during the fall when they naturally enter to escape cooler weather. You can take several precautions to prevent mice from entering your homeBe sure all screens and doors fit tightly and that there are no gaps. Check the space under the door as well. A mouse can enter a hole only 3/8″ across!!Eliminate any grain materials from your storage area or house. This includes fall door decorations containing wheat or corn that you may have stored.Keep shrubbery and vegetation trimmed away from the house to remove natural pathways into your home. Plants serve as shelter and food for these culprits
.
Seal up any holes on the outside of the building that may allow mice to enter. This includes points where utility lines enter the structure such as conduits for water, electricity, air conditioning, drain pipes and vents.

Rats
rrrr.jpg
Wild rats are no doubt the vertebrate group most costly to man in terms of economic damage and public health problems. Unfortunately, the rat is hardy and prolific. He thrives in a wide range of climactic conditions in a great variety of habitats. He adapts well to most man made environments and, in fact, is intimately associated with many of man’s activities and enterprises.Rats see poorly, relying more on smell, taste, touch, and hearing. The rats physical capabilities, though, are phenomenal and it would be wise to assume that rats can:
Gain entrance through any opening that is larger than 1/2″ square.
Climb both horizontal and vertical wires.
Climb the inside of vertical pipes that are 1 1/2 to 4 inches in diameter.
Climb the outside of vertical pipes and conduits up to 3 inches in diameter.
Crawl horizontally on any type of pipe or conduit.
Jump vertically as much as 36 inches from a flat surface.
Jump horizontally 48 inches on a flat surface.
Jump horizontally at least 8 feet from an elevation of 15 feet.
Drop 50 feet without being killed or seriously injured.
Burrow vertically in earth to a depth of 4 feet.
Climb brick or other rough exterior walls which offer footholds, to gain access to upper stories of structures.
Climb vines, shrubs, and trees, or travel along telephone or power lines to gain access to upper stories of buildings.
Reach as much as 13 inches along smooth vertical walls.
Swim as far as 1/2 mile in open water, dive through water plumbing traps, and travel in sewer lines even against substantial water currents.
Gnaw through a wide variety of materials including lead sheeting, sun dried adobe brick, cinder block, and aluminum sheeting.
